How to tackle waste from drug users
It’s a serious topic to have to cover but we feel it’s important to mention it precisely because it’s even more important to know how to tackle the waste left behind by drug users. It doesn’t happen very often perhaps but any business could find itself in a difficult situation if it thinks people are using drugs either inside its premises or in the vicinity.
The obvious waste drug users leave behind are the needles and syringes but the less obvious signs might include vomit, a shoelace and a plastic bottle. Our advice here is don’t touch anything. Simply call your landlord, the Police and local council straight away. They will arrange for someone to visit your office and take the waste products away and the Police might also agree to put your premises on a watch scheme if you suspect the drug users are from outside your company.
