Clean n Green's blog our take on waste collection and disposal!

Goodbye green bin!

A new scheme is in place that means it’s curtains for Norwich’s green recycling box! But that doesn’t mean the end of recycling glass and cans though. Far from it. It’ll now be much easier to help the council do their good work.

Why? Because from October 1st Norwich residents will now be able to put glass, plastic yoghurt pots, and other similar plastic tubs and trays in their blue recycling bin, as well as soup and juice cartons too. These waste materials will then be recycled alongside the usual paper, cardboard, steel and aluminium cans and plastic bottles. And the result? Quicker and easier recycling and less waste going in the landfill! You can leave your old green bin outside your front door to be collected so you’ll have a little more room in your house too!
